South America is a large region in the South of the USA. Spanish and Portuguese are both largely spoken languages in South America, although French, Dutch and English are also spoken.

South America is rich in culture and there are influences from Spain and Portugal due to the regions connections with Europe. The Rio Carnival in Brazil is famed as being among the biggest, and liveliest carnivals in the world.
