Are you thinking about a trip to London? If you are, it’s time to take your computer mouse and get clicking. The internet is a fabulous place to find the sights of interest, book cheap flights and find great places to stay. The internet is the best at finding all the ways to stretch your money leaving you the extra cash to make your visit just that much more enjoyable.

When booking a trip, until recently, travelers were at the mercy of travel agents. The average traveler had neither a ready source of information regarding the quality of accommodations nor the ability to compare airline ticket prices. In essence, we used to pay for the privilege of having someone else book our travel. Many times we paid more than we realized when considering hotels that did not meet our needs, missed opportunities to experience interesting cultural sites, and over-priced tickets.

Everything about your vacation, from the hotels to the restaurants, can be planned and paid for online through one of many travel agency websites. Airlines also have their own websites, allowing you to shop directly from them for their special deals and packages. Many planning websites offer deals and bundles that include flights, rental cars, hotel stays, and optional, discounted activity tickets.

You can even include the kids. Have them to search online for places they would like to visit on your trip. Don’t be surprised if they find the best price on flights. It is amazing how easily kids find their way around online and they may actually help by finding hundreds of ways to save money and even finding some of the most fun things to do or see.

London is rich in cultural and historic activities. It won’t be hard to choose which museums and famous icons (Big Ben) to visit. But do you want to miss those less-famous places and events that only the locals know about? The internet is the perfect tool to find out-of-the-way shops and festivals. You can even book travel between London and some of Great Britain’s other lovely historic cities and villages.

Always be sure to pack for the transportation you are willing to hire. If you travel in Europe, this will mean packing to travel on a bus or taxi. A bus will only have space for a small bag, and with a taxi, everything must fit in the trunk, or you may have to hire another car. Be mindful of the volume of luggage especially if you are travelling in a group, which can make getting to and from the airport still more complicated.

Airlines are constantly in price competition, and the benefits of their competition has been passed on to consumers. Many families and couples are already taking advantage of the great deals to be found online. With London’s romantic city-scape and beautiful countryside, anyone would want to spend time exploring, and thanks to the great rates to be found online, anyone now can. The money you will save by shopping online will help make your trip even more special as you try out that famous restaurant or treat yourself to a tour of a fine winery during your stay.
