Global Student USA is an international student insurance plan which is designed for those students and scholars traveling outside their home country to pursue higher studies. This international student insurance plan is competitively priced for the comprehensive benefits it offers for the international students.

The Global Student USA insurance policy meets the health insurance coverage requirements of most of the international educational and exchange programs, institutions, universities and community colleges in the US which admits overseas students. This global student insurance plan is suitable for F1 and J1 visa holders studying in the United States.

The Global Student USA international student insurance policy covers a wide range of benefits like doctor consultation, prescription drugs, in-patient and out-patient hospital services, pregnancy related issues like complications, child birth and miscarriage and any other emergency medical or travel assistance services required including repatriations and evacuations for covered emergencies.

Non US citizens who are between 14 and 64 years of age and are enrolled in any full-time educational program at an international level overseas are eligible for the Global Student USA plans. This student insurance plan does not offer coverage for dependants. In addition, there are no optional coverage benefits available.

The insured can renew and continue to remain in the same plan as long as the premium is paid before the lapse of the insurance policy.

In case the plan is not renewed on time, it still remains valid for renewal for 31 days. In case the insured wants to cancel the plan, he is eligible for full refund if the insurance policy certificate is submitted within 10 days after purchase. Further to this, he is not eligible for any refunds.

The global student insurance plan becomes effective once the completed enrollment form is received along with the premium. In case you prefer a specific effective date, you can specify it at the time of submitting the application. When the insured is in the home country, this plan is very restrictive in the coverage benefits.

This global student insurance plan remains valid until the policy lapses or the insured fails to meet the eligibility requirements of the plan. The termination date of the policy can also be mentioned in the application form if there is a specific preference for the same.
