It seems like everything these days has become disposable. Consumers, looking only at the bottom line of price, are willing to spend a fraction of the cost for a much more inferior product. After all, times are tough, and nobody wants to pay a pound more for anything unless they have to.

So please take our advice! It may not matter one iota if you buy a can of pork and beans made by Heinz or the Asda brand. But when it comes to purchasing a more permanent item such as a television or a refrigerator, do not buy a no name brand! When you purchase the very cheapest televisions made by no name brands, you are not investing in a product that is guaranteed to last.

Cheap televisions are made by small companies whose market niche is to turn a fair profit by selling the lowest priced sets they can make. Shoppers who have not done their research are simply too tempted to buy these cheap TVs, especially with the economy being so bleak.

However, you should know that every time, these no name brand sets are built with low quality materials and components. There is no way that these companies could turn a profit without using cheap parts. Sure these companies are not trying to build a brand, and do not offer warranties on their products.

On average, these ultra-cheap television sets will last for three to six years before breaking down. Most of the time, a television repairman has a hard time fixing these cheap TV sets.

It can make you incredibly mad when your cheap LCD TV breaks down after just a couple of years. But since you did already spend a good amount of money on the first set, you aren’t exactly inclined to go out and spend even more money on a brand new name brand television. You may even think that the cause of the problem was that the particular brand of cheap TV you happened to buy was bad. Maybe this other no name brand will be better, right? But don’t make the same mistake twice!

But what you may not realize is that many of the no name brand cheap televisions are all manufactured at the same factory. So you have no way of knowing if this next set will actually be almost identical in quality to the last cheap television you bought.

But when you buy a television produced by name brand companies such as Sony, LG, Philips, Toshiba, JVC, Samsung, Pioneer, and Panasonic, you will get a warranty on the television, as well as free support if there is a problem with your set. Since they work hard to promote their brand, these companies have excellent customer service and are eager to help you fix any problem that may arise. And, most importantly, the materials that sets manufactured by these brands are made of are always of the highest quality, so TVs made by name brands will last you decades. So, in the long run, it is a much better idea to pick the high quality name brand set instead of opting for the cheapest television set.
