2 Dec 2009For selecting the best model easily, do a little research before visiting local stores. Here are some hints on how to make the ideal selection.
Size:
You should select the size of your HDTV based on the size of your room and where you are going to place it. When using a smaller HDTV as a computer screen, such as the 26-34 inch models, make sure it is placed where there can be a four foot distance between the two of you. If not, consider getting a smaller model.
The HDTV must be bought according to the size of your living room, so size selection is a very crucial part of purchasing a HDTV. If you have about 6″ between the couch and the location of the HDTV, you can get a model that is 42-50 inches in size. In case you have 7 or 8 feet in space, you could think about getting a bigger 55-65 inch model.
Quality of image:
If you plan to watch a lot of HD movies on your new TV, make sure to get a 1080p model. If not, you should at least get the less expensive 720p model. These high-resolutions are excellent for watching Blu-ray and HD movies.
LCD or Plasma:
LCD HDTVs are lighter when compared to most plasma HDTVs. When you are considering image quality, the plasma HDTV comes out the winner without any doubt. I say that it is worth every penny, even if it is little more expensive. Lower lighting compliments plasma HDTV’s picture quality. A LCD HDTV is far better if you are planning to get a HDTV to display in a bright area.
Choosing A Brand:
Choosing to buy a HDTV is always a very hard job as there are many brands with their own features. Samsung and Sony are the top manufacturers of good quality LCD HDTV’s in the market. Planning to buy a Plasma TV? Go for Panasonic models, which will be a good choice you make. A Pioneer plasma model is a good one to have if you have a lot of money.
One High Definition TV which I principally adore is the Samsung UN55B7000. The 55-inch flat panel is the ultimate High Definition TV for checking out the big game on. See more on the UN55B7000 here.
