For those affected with mobility concerns, getting in and out of a standard bathtub can range from being a scary experience to being completely impossible. The elderly and those who are injured or disabled are especially vulnerable to the prospect of serious slip and fall injuries. Fortunately, walk-in bathtubs provide an excellent solution to this problem, and many of these specialized tubs include the added benefit of hydrotherapy jets to soothe aches and pains.

Those who have physical impediments may find bathing to be a frustrating and complicated process, especially when using traditional bath or shower designs. Unlike walk in bathtubs, which are created for bath safety and comfort, standard showers usually don’t have anti-slip features and grab bars, and they lack the comfortable seating that can be of great assistance to people with limited mobility.

Water therapy has been given importance right from those days. Greeks as well as Romans have taken a hint and started using bathtubs. Ever since then, bathtubs have been in regular use and have taken many shapes and sizes going by the trend.
