Ever wonder why some guys catch more fish than others? There are several reasons this could be. The right location, the right lures, and you being quiet are the keys to success. Some folks never think about how being quiet may hurt their odds of catching fish.
Have you ever think why you can?t fish as good as how other people catch fish? There must be some explanations for this. To be successful in catching fish, you must go find the right fishing location, use the right lures (live or artificial), and be perfectly quiet while waiting for the fish to bite the bait. This is very important in fishing.
I fished today with Jeff Austin of Texas Tops. Jeff and I were pre-fishing for this weekend’s Texas Trout Series and it was a tough stick. We did not find what we were looking for, however lucky for us we brought along some Devil Eyes so that we could at least get our lines streched.
My granddad was a great surf fisherman, so it’s no wonder, my Dad, Paul Braly Sr., got the nickname, “Seine Net”. When he is fishing in front of you, that’s what it feels like if you are behind him waiting for leftovers to come your way, and Saturday morning was no different, when I had the pleasure to get to go along fishing with him.
On a Saturday, I decided to take my 3 clients to the backside of San Jose Island, since the tide was falling fast and there are cuts back there where the lakes drain into Aransas Bay. As expected, the areas outside the cuts were holding redfish.
Jeff and I went fishing today. We were trying to do some stretching and pre-fishing for the tough competition Texas trout series which will happen on this weekend. We both found fishing at this spot very tough this time. What saved our day was the Devil Eyes lures that we brought along.
