People usually go on camping trips to enjoy themselves while spending some time in the great outdoors. Normal people do, at least. We have some family friends that said they absolutely hated camping trips, and would rather be working than go on one. Yet, every year, they went on at least two of them. We didn’t know where, but they were gone for several days.

Glenn and I met at a mutual friends’ house one night 7 years ago. It was definitely love at first sight as we have never left each others’ side since and are still so blissfully happy as when we first met. Glenn proposed on Valentine’s Day 2007, 5 years later, at the Adelaide Botanical Gardens after a picnic lunch in lush surrounds with the background of flowing water. It was such a surprise and the most memorable experience of my life.

Glenn booked a room at the Stamford Plaza in Brisbane. After we had arrived, we went for a walk in the botanical gardens in the afternoon and I thought for sure he would propose then but he didn?t. We went back to our room to dress for dinner. Glenn had asked me to pick where we would go for dinner so I had selected the Pancake manor. After dinner he pulled the ring box out and put it on the table and said will you marry me. Glenn was so nervous he had this look on his face as if I was going to say no, but offcourse I accepted! We then went to the movies. Our engagement party wasn?t long after this on the 8th November 2003.

In China, a great number of tea lovers are very particular about both tea and tea ware. Naturally, some of them are very keen on purple clay teapots, which they say are the best for brewing tea. One purple clay teapot collector named Liu Tianbao can give us insight into this deep part of Chinese culture.

I spent a little time recently with an old buddy, who was nicknamed Wo Fat a long time ago, not because he was Asian or Hawaiian, but because he loved to chow, and he knew chefs by name in every place that we ever got sent over the years. The las time I saw him he weighed over three large, and may have been half way to four.
