Redskins against the Eagles – and it’s just about half time. Although I have lived in the city, I never developed quite an attachment to the sports teams there, most especially the Eagles.

Last Friday morning I had the priviledge of listening to legendary Iowa wrestler and coach Dan Gable speak to the business consortium I belong to. Gable spoke for a little over two hours but the audience would have listened no matter how long he talked.

When I was a kid, I used to always ask myself questions about the bands that I liked. Who was the best, the Stones, The Beatles, or Led Zeppelin? Which guys in the bands were the coolest? Who plays guitar the best? Whose girlfriend was the cutest? I never really got the answers to those questions because really, I could argue all sides and never win.

Rachel had never really liked the subway. She actually more enjoyed being outside if she got a chance as she was raised in a small town in Washington State.

Sleeping had been a trouble for me last night. However, I didn’t force things. I got up from my bed, and I did a little channel surfing just to contain myself from boredom. I happened to stop by a chick show, which was hosted by a pretty but not so lively host. This show was primarily about women and their self-esteem. Normally, I could have rolled my eyes at something like this, because I have seen more versions of these several times before. However, I checked it out to see if there were tips that wouldn’t fail to impress me.

Anybody who has any interest in martial arts that is my age has seen the famous Bruce Lee film, “Enter The Dragon.” Besides Baba Bruce, there were a number of other martial arts legends in the film, and one of them was Bob Wall, now an extremely spry 68 years old, and who could drop kick some mook butt in a New York second today, thirty five years after that film was made.
