For military members, SGLi is for those who have served actively in duty. Insurance is given automatically to members who have entered in military. A lot of benefits await SGLI Members. Members are given up to $100,000 in disability insurance. Families of the members are even covered for insurance too. Families of the members are even covered for insurance as well. Death benefit for spouse coverage is given with an amount of $100,000 Family members of those who join the service are given SGLI coverage automatically. When canceling one’s membership the family coverage benefits are cancelled as well. Children are even covered for $10,000 until they reach the age of 18.
