Physician credentialing can sometimes be a complicated process. It involves not only tracking and verifying licenses and certificates, but studying a doctor’s performance as well. In addition, according to the OPPE standards, this information must be reviewed on a regular basis.

Every year thousands and thousands of people are either injured or die because of negligence or accidents that happen in hospitals. Do you ever wonder how many of these problems are because the doctor really wasn’t qualified to do what they did? We may never know, but at least something is being done to help reduce those problems.
