Chiles have been eaten in Mexico, Central America, and South America since about 7500 BC. They were discovered by the Spanish when Columbus arrived in the Caribbean. It was he who added the word “pepper” to the name, since the spicy taste reminded him of the peppercorns he knew back in Europe. In the Americas, they are still referred to as chilies.

If you have ever been to Mexico, you know the climate is hot and tropical. The Mexican people have developed some wonderful frozen desserts to keep them cool. These frozen desserts are sold along the streets in a similar fashion to ice cream trucks in the United States. Once you stop to buy, one the hard part is making a decision!

It does not matter if you are accomplished in the kitchen or if you only cook when absolutely necessary… you can make a wonderful chicken noodle soup in your crockpot that will be a vast improvement over canned soup.

Making homemade soup can take a long time, but with your magic crockpot, you can get a wonderful batch of chicken noodle soup while you are taking care of other tasks. While you are out and about, your soup will be happily simmering, creating a delectable bowl of comfort. This is a meal you can easily make whether you are an accomplished chef or if you only cook when absolutely necessary. Your chicken soup will turn out much better than any canned soup you can buy.

Many of us are finding that our lives are getting more and more busy all the time.
