The economy worsens every day. You read the news. It’s so horrible that you turn it off, you stop your subscriptions, you turn away. It hurts to see so many people suffering and it makes you frightened that you could be next. More and more of your friends are getting laid off. More of them are losing their homes. You see more and more charts with everything pointing down, tables and statistics all breaking records for a worsening trend of one sort or another. More and more foreigners are taking American jobs away, never to return, and more and more Americans losing their homes, many even committing suicide or worse. What could be worse than suicide? Suicide, and leaving one’s family penniless, that’s what.

Americans have been concerned about the economy as far as redundancy is concerned, still not understanding that redundancy rates are not a principal indicator of the state of the country economically. President Obama assured America once more yesterday, that his recovery plan was heading in the right direction, even though the time following the signing of the stimulus bill saw recession high redundancy rates and an additional large drop in the market.
