My students often ask me how to set up a system to sell e-books online. Most of them want to set up a page with many links to other articles, free information, author bio, seminar schedules, and so forth. This is the wrong type of website to make when you want to sell your e-book. With all those links you will confused your reader. And we all know, a confused mind never buys.
As a new author, you may feel overwhelmed. How can you sell an e-book through your website? Can everyone read your book, or only those with Windows? I understand your concerns, because I have been there. As an author, I commonly use shareware, which helps me to create PDF e-books.
Lately, we’ve talked about ways to write a better PDF ebook. PDF e-books can be bulked up with a list of resources and a table of contents, which increases customer satisfaction. Now that you’ve added those, let’s look at other ways to make your readers happy, which increases sales and prevents returns and refunds.
