You might think that God and science conflict with one another. I did, at one time, but I realized that science is evidence of God. Religion can sometimes cloud the truth. Science without God is lame (in the literal sense), and God without science is blind. You don’t have to ignore science to believe in God (including the Biblical God).

I just celebrated a birthday. One of those milestone birthdays that gets lots of attention. You know, as I look back over these years, I can see one thing that stands out so clearly over all the many years and through the many places I’ve been – the faithfulness of God. I think back to a time when as a child of eight years old, I realized I was lost and needed a Savior, and I committed my heart to Jesus Christ.

We are raised with ideas that love has something to do with how we express ourselves toward others. We think that when we love someone, we will compromise and make them feel better and will sacrifice ourselves and do anything for the object of our adoration. While this is true to a point, it is backwards. You can not love another until you fully embrace yourself.

It’s pretty amazing when you think about it. It was a little more than three weeks before her wedding and Jeannie G. , the bride-to-be and a doctor of Oriental medicine, called one of her girlfriends, Rudi, in desperation saying, “Tell your boyfriend I’ve got a problem and I need to speak with him”.
