Cold sores are groups of small fluid filled blisters on the lips and around the mouth. This is no cure for cold sores but there are treatments that show you how to get rid of cold sore. Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HVS). It may take up to 20 days for symptoms to appear after being exposed to the herpes simplex virus. The symptoms can last for 7 to 10 days. Cold sores can cause pain around your mouth and lips because the blisters are red, swollen and sore. Sometimes they also occur on your nostrils and chin. You may not feel good if you get cold sores because they can cause a fever, sore throat and swollen glands.
