Isn’t it fun to see something grow? When you take the time to germinate a seed, plant it, water it faithfully and give it plenty of sun, it is so rewarding to see it finally sprout weeks later. No where is this more true than with Bonsai trees. These are beautiful miniature trees that can be grown in many different environment, indoors or outside.

Bonsai trees, similar to all other living things, require food for existence. Unlike the roots of normal trees that develop for further distances seeking nutrition, the roots of bonsai trees are limited to grow within the container … hence they will be capable of obtaining merely whatever nourishment is present in the soil within the tray. Thus, the soil within the container requires to be repeatedly replenished with the exact amount of nutrients.

The majority of bonsai gardeners stick with the more common coniferous, deciduous, or fruit trees when creating their bonsai art collection. However, more exotic bonsai varieties can be found that permit the bonsai artist to further develop his or her skills.
