The ability to fly an Remote Controlled helicopter is a skill that comes with practice. There are very few people who can take an Remote Controlled helicopter out of a box, build it and take it out and do aerobatics on the first try. It takes time, practice and patience to learn to fly an RC helicopter. With enough perseverance, you can fly an RChelicopter like a pro.

You can’t fly an Radio Controlled helicopter unless you have one. The novice can be somewhat overwhelmed by the amount and options of RC helicopters for sale. Sizes, options on the helicopter, the choice of electric or gas power, are only a few of the choices. Making the right choice the first time can frequently be a hit or miss proposition.

When the first RC helicopter is chosen, the choice of the highest cost and capable helicopter may not be a great idea. When the Army trains helicopter pilots, they start them out in less capable helicopters. The trainee pilots aren’t thrown into Apaches the first time out. Selecting the helicopters helicopter is the same thing. A less complex helicopter or trainer should be selected first. These are generally lower initial cost and parts to repair them may be less expensive than those for an aerobatic capable Remote Controlled helicopter.

Among the costs to be considered is that what goes up must come down. Sometimes when flying an Remote Controlled helicopter the coming down part is devastating to both the helicopter and the RC helicopter’s pilot’s wallet. Wipe outs are inevitable and the Remote Controlled helicopter pilot must have room in the budget to replace their craft after it breaks.

Learning to fly an Radio Controlled helicopter requires space. The less space that is available the smaller the RC helicopter should be. An ideal location is a field that is flat, level, without nearby trees or power lines. There should also be few people around for the initial flights since the likelihood of an uncontrolled descent could hurt someone. Most Remote Controlled flying clubs have the ideal space to learn to fly.

Radio Controlled flying clubs usually have at least one or two seasoned helicopter pilots. These pilots are more than willing to share their hard earned experience and provide sound guidance to the first timer. Learning how to fly an Radio Controlled helicopter can be highly rewarding. This accomplishment comes only with lots of practice and much patience.
