Beach volleyball is one of the fastest growing sports in America. But beware of the many differences between beach volleyball and indoor volleyball.

There are no positions in beach volleyball. You can either play one side all game or switch sides with your partner anytime you want.
The best thing to do would be to pick one side so that you can specialize in playing from that side. The true position you will decide is to be either the person that blocks or digs.
You can’t decide who the hitter or setter is going to be as this is decided by who the other team serves. You can almost always count as the shorter person on the team being the hitter.
The point system is always rally and you go to 21 for the first 2 games. You play best 2 out of 3 games and if it goes to a third game it’s only to 15.
You will need to switch sides on multiples of 7 when going to 21. When going to 15 your switch on multiples of 5.
