Any savvy rv buyer knows that higher unemployment rates and home foreclosures mean the number of foreclosed rvs being bold at auction is also on the rise. This is spectacular news because it allow you as the buyer to get the best prices and a large selection on the next motor home you buy.

Repo Auctions typically sell for much less the retail. Often these discounts can be as high as 50 to 80 percent. You can to look for and buy RVs that have no major pre-existing problems. Also avoid motorhomes that have been lived in, smoked in or have pet odors. Typically newer foreclosed motor home are better deals and many may still be covered under the original manufacturers warranty.

To find Motor home rv auctions, search your local RV magazine or newspaper for repos for sale. It can also be a good idea to check with banks, lending institutions, and credit unions. Find out as much as you can about the motor home auction before you go. Find out whether it is a live or a silent auction. Find out whether you need to preregister to bid and also find out if you need to purchase the RV with cash or if they allow you time to get financing on it. Sales are usually in ‘as-is’ condition.

Most auctions sell RVs in ‘as-is condition. For this reason it is impotant to get the motor homes inspected before you by them. If it is a newer motor home or RV check to see if it is still protected by the original manufactures warranty.

You may have to go to a few auctions, but hopefully it will not take you very long to find the motor home repo you want at the auction price you can afford!
