The Sony KDL32W5500U is one of the latest and greatest products in Sony’s new range of budgets and midrange flat screen LCD televisions. However, it is important not to be put off by the fact that it is a cheaper model than many of the others on the market.

The fact is, the screen comes with some features and abilities that you would typically only find in higher end models. Most notably is its ability to play full HD, meaning that you don’t have to compromise just because you’re a fairly tight budget and go for something which is only simply high definition ready. This means that it is ready to play back at 1080 pixels.

By far the most attractive feature about this particular model is that it is full high definition. You will find that a lot of of the cheapest screens are only labelled as high definition ready. This means the while they will be able to play the most modern content in the shops today, they will not play them as they were meant to be played and the quality will be significantly lower. This means that you should be looking for a television screen which has full playback as 1080 pixels.

These features coupled with a 32 inch screen means that you will be able to watch movies as they were meant to be watched in the first place. Not only that, but the TV set also comes of a number of other features which make it very attractive and actually quite price economic.

This is a stylish set which is designed to look decent and is also made of a high quality build, something that Sony has been perfecting over a period of many years. As a centrepiece to your living room home entertainment system, or even better, in a dedicate a television room this excludes both attractive and classy.

The screen has a 32 inch diagonal dimension, and being wide screen, makes it ideal for watching high definition movies. While you can certainly get bigger screens such as 40 inches or more, 32 inches does not sacrifice a great deal of experience when it comes to watching films yet it takes up a lot less room and also cost significantly less which is why many people prefer 32 inch screens regardless of their budget.

The screen also comes with a built in set of stereo speakers witch while perfectly reasonable in terms of quality, certainly don’t come close to emulating a 5. 1 surround sound system. This is the case with all flat screens, regardless of how much you pay for them.

While the set does of course have a built in stereo speakers system, to optimise your viewing experience, is a very good idea to get a 5. 1 surround sound system. Since virtually all DVDs are encoded in five channels, you’ll get so much more out of them by getting a decent sound system and no stereo speakers that are built into any screen, no matter what the budget can even come close to replicating the experience of a full 5. 1 surround sound.

The set also comes with three view, allowing you far more channels than you would normally get on a terrestrial television. This also negates any necessity to get an extra set top box to be able to tune into a load of extra free channels.
