Another medical fact is a lower blood pressure, and a reduction in stress. Nothing on earth tops the love and companionship of owning a dog. There are a few things to consider though, and that is dog behavior problems that might spring up. It could be anything from digging up your yard, destroying your stuff by chewing, wetting the floors, and maybe even barking all night.
If your dog is exhibiting these types of dog behavior problems, it may be acting out due to boredom, pent-up aggression or because of lack of training. With proper lifestyle adjustments and diligent training, you’ll be on your way to having a happy, well-behaved pet.
Spaying or neutering your pet is a very common way to not only helping your dog to live longer, and being healthier, but it will take a lot of the aggression on of it, and this will create a lot less dog behavior problems.
Scheduling some workout time will provide both you and your dog some much needed exercise, a healthy dog is a well behaved dog. Usually a 30 – 45 min walk or run will be more than enough for both of you to maintain a healthy lifestyle, as well as help with your dogs boredom, which will hopefully reduce your dog behavior problems, like destruction. Which would mean that less or none of your stuff will get all chewed up.
Getting your dog trained is a great way to allow for a long and happy life together, as you will create an unbreakable bond in your time together. The American Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has said that training your dog will not only help you control your dogs behavior problems, but it will also teach you to properly react to any of your dogs problems that may still show through, both in a safely and humanely manner
A big thing, that most people forget is being patient with your dog. Teaching your best friend to be a better dog will take determination on your part, its very much worth it though. After all, as your best friend, it will very much appreciate the bonding process during all your time together.
