7 Mar 2009Business does not stop on a snowy day. To the more enterprising people, even a strong downpour of snow would stop your resolve to earn. It is simply good business sense; if many people stop working during the holidays, who will keep the country running if not you?
But snow can be highly obstructive, that much is certain. Before starting the day, you know that your path will be blocked by an unbelievable amount of snow. Determined to make a sale, you decide to wake early and start shoveling. You are on a strict time schedule, and the only way to keep to it is to dedicate an hour or more to the task.
What if I could tell you that I found a way to shorten that time? Don’t worry, I’m not talking about one of those bulky machines – they can be bulky, and as a machine, they can be hard to operate in cold weather. No, I’m not talking about those. What I found, instead, is the same old shovel with a new innovative design.
This best snow shovel looks like a regular shovel, except for one detail; attached to the area where blade meets the handle is a flexible cord. This cord is about thirty inches long, and its material is similar to a bungee cord. Since you’ll be holding the cord, the operational position is upright rather than stooped. Your back will thus be straight, and you are able to focus your energy more as you shovel.
The cord is elastic in order to add more force and energy when you need to toss away the shovel-fulls of snow. As the area gets cleared of snow, you’ll notice you’re doing it in less time, and with much less energy than normal. The elastic cord does much of the work for you, so you won’t be very tired afterwards, you will finish earlier than the hour or so needed and you’ll be able to dedicate much of your energy to your business.
