Landscape contracts are in the ideal position to capitalize on this thriving business but if they want to achieve success, they must have a definite vision for what their company can give to its clients and they need to convey to them the matchless value they can add to the project.

To efficiently market your company, it is significant to know what customers are after in landscape lighting in the first place. Previously, the primary reason behind the installation of outdoor lights was to ensure the safety and security of the family. If they tell you, I’ll want lights for my backyard because my kids play there at night, you must not be satisfied. Ask more! For example, ask if there is a dark corner at the property’s edge that needs to be illuminated? Is there a specific spot close to the house they want accentuated to motivate the children to play there instead? These kinds of questions would make your customers see that you are not just there for the money but instead, to provide them the ultimate service. This then encourages them to choose you.

When you have finally determined and feel positive about your offers, you have to get to your customers. A great way to do this is by providing demo kits. The saying, a picture paints a thousand words, is absolutely true and you can encourage customers to hire you if you can show them what you have to offer better than you can tell them. Let them enjoy some landscape lights for a trial period and make them realize that they just have to have it for real.
