There are many sites out there that try to scam people out of their time and money by selling DVDs and instruction manuals about exercises to grow tall. These stretches and exercises are not only a waste of time, but they can also be very harmful, resulting in slipped discs and torn tendons. Similarly, those that claim their special vitamin pills and supplements will improve height growth are most likely selling you lies. These are to be avoided.
But does this mean that doing stretches to grow tall does not work? No. It is simply more beneficial to do them when your body has not stopped growing.
When we are toddlers, a lot of our skeletal structure is composed of cartilage. Over time, as we reach adulthood, that cartilage hardens and ossifies into strong bone. And over these years, we go from having to 300 bones to only 206.
As we experience puberty, about halfway through this process, our bones’ cartilage growth plate start lengthening. But, once they have completely grown, it does not matter how many grow taller exercises or stretches we do, those growth plates will not get any longer.
Nevertheless, exercising regularly to grow tall while we are still young can aid in having stronger bones. Exercising also helps us produce a natural growth enhancer in our bodies, that provides us a quicker way to grow taller. With a good exercise regime and keeping your back straight, your bones will stay stronger and healthier, and lower your chance of getting any bone weakening diseases in your senior years.
A good diet is also important to grow tall. Depriving yourself of vital nutrients such as protein, amino acids, calories, and especially calcium can weaken your body and your bones, resulting in stunted growth and other complications. As you age, your body will take calcium from your bones, which is what often causes shrinking in elderly people.
That is why having a good diet and regular exercise is vital for height growth when you are young, aiding your body grow to its full potential.
If you are past your twenties, but still want to grow tall, do not lose faith. Other than exercising and eating well, there is a variety of height enhancing solutions, starting with how you dress – such as clothes, shoes and hair that make you look taller and fitter.
So do not listen to what those scam artists are saying, but try out a legitimate program to grow tall today.
