It is now gaining controversies in various parts of the world.

The controversial Formula – The formula that caused varied reactions from medical groups is popularly known as PCDC. The Lipodisolve formula is a combination of two substances, phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate, known for their ability to break down fats and emulsify respectively. Both are known to be naturally found in the human body and are extracted from natural sources. The first compound, phosphatidylcholine, is naturally occurring in cell membranes. It is derived from soy beans but can also be extracted from egg yolk. Its usage as substance that dissolves fats in blood vessels are long been known. The other compound is a bile acid or salt taken from the liver. It is a natural emulsifier found in the digestive organs of the body. Their properties make them a potent solution for dissolving and emulsifying fats.

The controversy – Although phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate are known to be good substances their potency and safety as a solution that will break down fats when injected directly in the parts where there are fats is not yet proven in clinical tests. There are many people who have already tried Lipodisolve treatment and got positive results. This doesn’t impress most medical groups because of the doubts surrounding its effects in the body. Many countries and some US states are seeking government help to ban the formula as well as the procedure but this does not affected the popularity of the treatment as it remains in demand.

Current status – The Lipodisolve procedure and formula is not yet approved by the FDA in treatments but it is allowed to be used in clinical tests. There are tests that have already been started but the result has not been released yet. Meanwhile, people can’t wait for the approval to be released and would like to take the risk of trying the treatment before it gets the ban or approval. Many treatments have already been a success, which produced positive results.

The procedure – There’s no standardized treatment procedure. The final decision on the procedure and formula is given to the physician conducting the treatment. Normally, Lipodisolve requires one to three sessions with 2 weeks gap in between sessions. The conducting physician will also decide on the dosage and the number of sessions needed to complete the treatment.

The Final Say – Because of the absence of regulations, physicians can do Lipodisolve in whatever way they want. This poses a risk to patients who don’t understand the danger the drug is bringing to their body. Proponents are saying that the procedure is safe and effective but the responsibility and final decision is in the hands of the patients.
