Taking Care of Hemorrhoids

When the veins in the anus or rectum are strained as the stool is moved out, it causes vein inflammation and the area become itchy and painful. This condition is called hemorrhoid. Hemorrhoids can be outside the anus or called external, or it can also be inside the anus or internal. It may take a while to completely treat this condition but there are effective ways to treat hemorrhoids. Treatments are available at the counter as prescribed by your doctors, while other effective treatments are found at home.

Hemorrhoids can be treated by applying the right treatment which depends on the stage of the condition. When looking for treatments, always consider the condition of the hemorrhoids. Treatments are availed mostly because patients want relief from pains and itchiness. If you aim for this, the effective home remedy is taking Sitz baths. This is done by heating water for the bath, and then, make it to warm temperature up to a degree which your body can tolerate. You can add a small amount of vinegar if you want. A bath tub will be best to use for body soaking. Let the warm water soothe the pains and irritations for a while and then dry your body with clean towel. This will give a soothing relief to your irritated anus.

A Sitz bath can be repeated two or three times a day at need, and they do not have to last for very long; they might simply last ten or fifteen minutes. After the area has been thoroughly soaked, you will find that it is a good idea to dry it through patting it with a soft cloth. Vigorous rubbing can inflame the area further, so remember that you should be as gentle as possible. Keeping the area dry can prevent abrasion or any sort of soreness from staying

To have a complete relief whenever treating hemorrhoids, you should also consider the fabric that you are using for your clothes. You might feel comfortable with loose, soft clothes for the undergarments and for the pants or shorts as well. Wearing soft clothes will let the affected area to dry and heal faster as you apply treatments. You will also be able to move comfortably with clothes like these, unlike with tight jeans or short pants.

Another thing to consider when treating your hemorrhoids is the need to change the daily diet. Implementing simple changes will greatly reward you with relief and comfort from hemorrhoids. Preventing recurrence of hemorrhoids will mean you need to treat the causes as well. If you are continuously suffering from constipation and indigestion that causes hemorrhoids, might as well think about what foods you should take to stop this condition. Taking whole grains and fibers everyday will help your digestive system to function well. Milk is also a great help, but if lactose worsen your constipation, better drink lots of water and fruit juices instead of milk. This will give solution to your constipation and eventually help relieve the hemorrhoids.

Treating hemorrhoids may take a while. You need to understand the extent of your condition to be able to apply the right treatment you need. Early detection can help treatments work effectively and quickly.
