If you suffer from hair loss vitamin deficiency may be contributing to it. Lets see if there is a vitamin and hair loss link and whether it is possible to use vitamins for hair loss to help reverse that coming balding problem.

Clearly the average American diet is way too low in essential nutrients such as vitamins and minerals and others. Our diet is too high in fast foods and processed foods and we eat too much sugar, salt and saturated fat. Whilst these foods are very tasty they are very low in essential nutrients. It is also patently clear that this contributes heavily to a wide range of health problems, some of which, such as heart disease, can be fatal.

Clearly there is a link between our poor diet and our poor health so it makes complete sense that the health of our hair can be compromised by a poor diet. By far the majority of men who suffer from baldness are suffering from male pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness is a condition which limits the ability of hair follicles to take up essential nutrients because of the action of the male hormone DHT. The ability of the hair to take up nutrients is limited and where, by reason of poor diet, there is also a lack of nutrients available, the problem becomes worse. But reversing the vitamin deficiency on its own does not increase the ability of the hair follicles to take up nutrients due to the action of the DHT.

If male pattern baldness is causing your thinning hair improving your diet will not reverse this, though it may slow down.

Whilst it is important to increase the supply of nutrients available to the hair it is also very important to improve the ability of hair follicles to take up these nutrients.
