If youve been told you that getting pregnant with PCOS is not feasible, you might like to know that it is still possible to conceive. PCOS will affect fertility, but it is caused by hormone imbalance.

PCOS is characterized by: irregular, excessive or no menstrual period, a lack of ovulation, poor quality eggs, and sometimes miscarriages. There are other symptoms that dont directly affect the fertility, but are a sign that the hormones are out of balance. These include: high blood sugar, adult acne, excess body and facial hair, excessive hair loss, and obesity with a more masculine body shape.

Most women have high levels of estrogen and progesterone, but women with PCOS also have high levels of androgens. Androgens are male hormones, and they dont have a significant role in the menstrual cycle or female fertility. The excess androgens provide an unhealthy environment for eggs to form, and can prevent menstruation and ovulation from occurring regularly.

Most medical treatments focus around the oral contraceptive pill, increasing the dose to re-establish the hormone balance between progesterone and oestrogen. There are side effects associated with contraceptive pills, and they are not recommended for women who want to conceive, because their primary role is to stop conception.

There is a better way to balance hormones and still get pregnant even with PCOS. The natural way will help you conceive, and improve your health. Start by improving your diet. Avoid foods that have a high glycemic index, and seek out fresh foods; including organic and whole foods. You can also begin drinking Wulong-Oolong tea, an herbal tea that will aid in losing weight; a part of good health. Another product that works for weight loss is Crave-Ex a carbohydrate blocker.

Next detoxification is important, so you will need to avoid the usual chemicals that make your condition worse. These are nicotine, caffeine, alcohol and refined sugar. There are also body cleanses you can do that can accelerate your rate of detoxification, balance your hormones and improve your fertility.

Herbs are available in treating ovarian cysts. These herbs stimulate ovulation and bring hormone balance. The herb which I use in my clinic for the past 18 months is “CystClear” and I get excellent result with it. The good news is that some of my patients with PCOS have regular menstruation, have reduced weight and they look more feminine and most importantly some of them are pregnant now.

The important point is that these herbal blend which helps getting pregnant with PCOS possible are very strong and should not be used with allopathic medical treatments.
