11 Oct 2009“What is the best way to get rid of acne?” If only I had a dollar for all the times I’ve been asked that! If you’re looking for a quick solution to get your clear, smooth skin back, then you’ll want to read this article. I’m going to reveal to you the number one cause of acne, and how you can combat this to achieve a pimple free complexion within days!
So what causes acne? Contrary to popular belief, acne isn’t caused by unhygienic guys and girls failing to wash properly, it is, in most cases, due to a hormonal imbalance. This imbalance often occurs in adolescence, which is why over 90% of teens have had some form of acne. It’s also why pregnant women can get an outbreak too. Although you can’t avoid this temporary imbalance, you can do certain thins that will help to control it.
It’s very important to cleanse your face correctly, two times each day. This, for me, is the best way to get rid of acne by using synthetic treatment. Due to excessive bacteria on the face during your adolescent years, you need to make sure you’re unclogging the blocked pores, otherwise an outbreak of pimples can occur.
Get your hands on a specialised face wash, as these tend to be specifically designed to work with sensitive skin, and unclog the blocked pores. An anti bacterial soap also works well, because, as the name says, it will kill the acne causing bacteria on the surface of the skin. Avoid using a traditional bar of soap, as these contain strong ingredients that aren’t meant for the skin on your face.
The best way to get rid of acne naturally, is to use lemon juice. This is a popular home remedy for acne, as the lemon juice contains a mild bleach, that helps to lighten the redness that the acne creates, making the pimples less visible. Also the lemon juice contains chemicals, designed to burn away the top layer of the skin, helping to unclog all the blocked pores!
Simply drinking plenty of water is the best way to get rid of acne, without having to go overboard. A constant supply of water to the body will keep your skin hydrated, and in tip top condition. When I had acne, I used to have very dry skin because I wasn’t drinking enough water, and dry skin increases irritation and redness.
The right amount of water to drink is between 7-8 glasses of water per day. You must drink at regular intervals, so if you think you can get away with binging on 7 glasses before bed, think again!
Don’t let your acne go untreated, otherwise you could be left with nasty looking acne scars, that are much harder to get rid of.
