Don’t you just hate it when some players seem to win all the time? You start to take note of their actions and perceive them to be lucky. You start to mimic some of their rituals, and surprisingly, you experience winning streaks yourself. When you become a regular at the bingo hall, you can’t help but adapt some superstitions and develop some yourself. You can’t explain how or why, but, hey, they seem to make you win, and that’s all that matters.

Lucky Seat

A common superstition in bingo is the lucky seat. When you become a regular, you’ll learn to love that particular seat where you’ve won three times straight one Friday afternoon. Then you’ll decide that it will be your lucky seat from now on. You will even go so far as to fight other people who tries to take your seat until they move. On that same note, someone will also tell you to move when you’re a first timer and accidentally takes someone’s spot. You’d better move to another spot before things get out of hand.

Other Superstitions

A majority of bingo players (75%) bring good luck charms with them when going to a game, statistics show. There are various good-luck charms like rings, watches, jewelry, coins or key chains. Also, some bingo players look for their luck numbers in their bingo cards. It’s possible to trade cards with other players in order to get a card with your lucky number provided that person won’t lose his lucky number in the swap. Aside from bringing good vibes to a player, these lucky charms and numbers lets a person attain a positive outlook which can attract winning calls.

Understanding The Odds In Bingo

Dividing the number of cards you have by total number of cards in a bingo game will give you the odds of winning, but simply increasing your cards won’t necessarily better the odds. Having too many cards can actually get you confused and miss a win. All the balls have the same odds of being called out. Of course, this is assuming the balls haven’t been tampered with.Thinking that a particular number that has been called has good odds of being called again is a bad assumption. Bingo, in the long run, is a game of chance. N-34 coming out 4 times in a row is only due to chance.

So What Can Better Your Odds?

Actually, there are ways to better your odds of winning. Keeping away from a large crowd is a good way to improve your concentration and help steer the odds your way by improving your chances of winning. Buy the maximum number of cards you can handle without compromising the attention you give for each card.It also helps to choose a card with different numbers. This can equalize the chances of all your cards to be called. Most of all, think positive! This will make you enjoy the game more while attracting all the good energy and ultimately attracting the winning calls.
