The history of Indian Jewelry lasts since 5000 years ago. Indian jewelry has become so important in an Indian woman’s life that it cannot be separated easily from them. During the early period, the Indian jewelry was made with the different metals like gold, copper, silver etc. but the most commonly used metal was the silver. It was said that the kings who ruled our country during early days often fought with each other for capturing the gold ornaments. Then the people of India started making different jewelry by mixing it with different materials like rudraksh, sandalwood beads and other things.

In India it is seen that the tradition of manufacturing jewelry passes from one generation to another. A customer who goes for purchasing the Indian ornaments will be confused by seeing the varieties of designs in them. The varieties of designs have led to an increase in the demand of the Indian jewelry.

India is a country known for its diversities in culture, languages etc. the diversities can be seen in the jewelries also. Each state has a different style. Different states have their own speciality like Rajasthan is famous for manufacturing Kundan and jewelery with different stones etc.
