The Beetle is a car that had family at its heart when it was first designed. It dates back to Germany at a time when Hitler was in rule. It has a shape that is recognised by many people all over the world. If you ask anyone what the Beetle looks like then they will usually be able to describe its definite shape and body.

It was during’38 to 2003 when the Beetle was first developed. The only slow period of production for the Beetle was during the Second World War. During this time production slowed due to the difficulties of the war. The name that has become famous for this car is the Beetle, this only started to be used in’68 and before this time it was known as “Type 1″. When German brochures were released they printed names of “DER KFER”.

The Second World War was tough on Germany, but that didn’t stop the production of the Beetle although it did slow its production. Eventually the new Beetle was introduced to the world and it was an instant hit.

The new look design Beetle set off a craze in’99 when everyone wanted to purchase the Beetle. There will always be the old look Beetle fans, but there was also a new type of fan emerging. Nowadays the old design Beetle is very rare, but many people have the new design Beetle. The new look Beetle has a round shaped design, but it is much more feminine.

The Beetle is a family orientated car that is recognised all over the world and is still popular today. It was the latest Beetle that began the retro craze in’99. The look was very similar to the old Beetle, but with a new kind of twist. Again it has the round front profile although it appeals more to women this time round. It is growing in popularity more for its looks than anything else it has to offer. The inside of the new Beetle is not roomy and the boot has hardly any room to fit anything in.

The new Beetle does not appeal to families unlike the old style Beetle did. A family would need a bigger car since the new look Beetle is probably only really suited for a couple. There is a nice range of engines to choose from, these provide good running prices, especially the 1. 9 TDL.
