Going out to eat outside is liked by all. It is the food, service and atmosphere that make a restaurant our favorite. The prices charged are mostly fine and the special things make our dining a wonderful experience.
There are a lot of restaurants and eateries that you always like to visit. You can choose any of the restaurants that offer special breakfasts or lunches. Some only have dinner menus. Lunch is served in some of the restaurants. Some have been in business for a long time. Others have just started the operation.
One of the more famous restaurants is IHOP. Established in 1958, the first store of IHOP was opened in Toluca Lake, California. The parent company of IHOP, DineEquity Inc has outlets in 49 states, Mexico and Canada. It is a popular family restaurant. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and also dinner for the customers.
How to start an IHOP franchise?
You need to have around $500,000 assets to start the business. Basic business experience is needed to get the approval. The company no longer helps you to finance your franchise. So if you do not have all of the cash for the franchise fee, be prepared to talk to a bank.
After the approval you will be given training in the main office. The outlet is constructed following strict guidelines and other requirements. The store needs to have place for 185 people. The store must be somewhere near the neighborhood with a population of 25,000 to 50,000 people. Your lot size must be about 40,000 to 50,000 square feet if it stands alone and 10,000 to 20,000 square feet if it is part of a shopping or grocery establishment. The parking space should be fine for your customers.
If you have restaurant experience then owning an IHOP franchise is a wonderful idea. If you can meet these requirement, you will receive the necessary training, and out just might be the latest IHOP to open in your area. Though the chain will help you with the food and training. You will have to find the employees yourself. Candidates should be interviewed by you.
