16 Mar 2009When you are selecting commercial fluorescent lighting fixtures you want to get the best for your business. Your business is your unique creation and you want to make sure that you get the right lighting for it. This is why a store with a large selection of products is your best choice.
When you go to a store that has a larger collection of lighting fixtures you will be able to make a better selection. Not only will you find types of fixtures that you had in mind but also uncover some new styles. Conventional commercial fluorescent lighting fixtures are good for general stores but if you have a specialty store you may want something a little different. This is the great advantage of shopping for products at stores with a larger selection of fixtures.
There are a number of ways that different lighting can influence your customers to buy more.
* Bright light makes a happy atmosphere: people are more inclined to buy when the store has a bright and happy atmosphere. Fluorescent lighting fixtures will create a bright light throughout the store. This in turn makes people feel physiologically happy. It is rather like going out on a bright sunny day. If you have a dark store people automatically feel a little downbeat when they enter and will not be inclined to buy as much.
* Bright stores attract customers: passers-by tend to stop and glance at well lit stores and this can often transfer into a walk in and purchase. Dimly lit stores tend to say ‘go away’.
* A store with shaded light: can bring a little mystery if the product suits. Obviously, specialty stores like a Halloween store need to create a dark and mysterious look. However, unless you’re selling scary masks it’s a good idea to avoid such mystery.
* Tinted light: different shades of light can completely change the complexion of a store. The problem is that some colours can discourage purchasers so do your homework.
In summary, a larger lighting store will have a wider selection for you to choose from. A well spread out location will also be able to dedicate different areas of the store to displays that show, first hand, the effect given by the lights. After all, you wouldn’t buy a car without a test drive first, would you? Give yourself a little time to walk around and see how the different lighting affects your own mood before you decide on what’s best for your location.
Try to find a store with a really good selection that they can show you on the day, not just pull out a catalog because they have nothing in stock. You can save a lot of time and money if you find the right place the first time.
