For so many, working from home and earning well is a dream come true. The trouble is that many see it as meaning less work than working in an office and this could not be farther than the truth. Working from home could be a job but what it lacks is the security. What is needed is a method that can provide real freedom and independence for those who are willing to work at it.

Many hope to make a kill of easy, quick money and are attracted to the well touted, ‘get rich fast’ offers that abound. Strangely, some of these do actually work, but rarely do they work well enough to justify the hype that usually surrounds them. Surveys and data entry are some of the common ones in this category. This can only remain a dream and in reality it never works out that way.

This kind of work is unsuitable for a person wishing to earn from home regularly. It’s certainly not the case that these are all scams, but scams do exist in this field, so be wary. One does need to have some writing skills and one is better off if one is more capable. Most writers begin by writing for others who sell the work as their own. For this reason, unless you are really lucky, don’t expect to earn much; the average is about 5 dollars for a 500 word article and while you can get by on this if you work hard, you won’t get rich.

A progression on article writing is to write for yourself and sell them on and writing public label rights, or PLR, articles can be more lucrative in the long term. The idea is to write a batch of ten or so articles on a particular theme and sell them to a limited number of people at a reduced price. So if you priced them at a dollar apiece, you could sell that batch of ten articles to thirty people and make 0 which is a great deal more than the you would otherwise have made for it.

There’s nothing to replace hard work when you want to earn well while working from home. At first, it probably isn’t going to be easy, but once you get into a regular routine and things get a bit more organized, it gets easier. You will also be able to hire a small group of writers yourself eventually to out source your work and at that stage you will be able to earn the kind of money you dreamed about.
