Hard Sell or Soft Sell, Choosing your Next Promotion

There are many business people who feel that they must be pushy in order to increase sales and draw in business. Although a hard sell technique may be effective for certain business owners and in certain situations, most of us don’t want to feel as if we are forcing others to come into our business or intimidating customers into buying. The average person is neither receptive to nor comfortable with this type of selling technique.

On the other side of the spectrum is the soft sale approach. This tactic is more pleasant for both the consumers and the business itself. Although all business owners want to run a successful business, there are many who are uncomfortable with being pushy, and “throwing” their business in peoples face. There are business owners who are even uncomfortable about going up to people and speaking of the business they run.
