The Big Shakedown: Inconsequential story where we see Davis deny spouse Farrell while he joins mobster Cortez in counterfeiting cosmetics and other products, often with dire consequences to the buyers. Cast includes Bette Davis, Ricardo Cortez, Glenda Farrell, Charles Farrell, and Adrian Morris. (64 minutes, 1934)

The Sea Wolf: Sharp Jack London story of fierce although intellectual ocean commander Robinson fighting a battle of wits as unintentional passenger Knox, a brash sailor Garfield, and an escapee Lupino try to flee. Cast includes Edward G. Robinson, John Garfield, Ida Lupino, Alexander Knox, Gene Lockhart, Barry Fitzgerald, and Stanley Ridges. (90 minutes, 1941)

Cuban Rebel Girls: This is Flynn’s last film, and is an embarrassment. Playing himself, he assists Fidel Castro in his overthrow of Batista. The film is filmed on location throughout the Castro rebellion. Of interest only to see Flynn teamed with his very last lady friend, sixteen-year-old Aadland. Cast includes Errol Flynn, Beverly Aadland, John McKay, and Marie Edmund. (68 minutes, 1959)

The Singer Not The Song: An unconventional, slothful yam set in Mexico engaging clash of Catholic minister and local bandit to command the town, with Demongeot in love with the clergyman. Cast includes Dirk Bogarde, John Factories, Mylene Demongeot, and Eric Pohlmann. (129 minutes, 1961)

Food of the Gods 2: This time, as a result of hormone experiments gone bad, tremendously big rats terrorize a college campus. Cast includes Paul Coufos, Lisa Schrage, Jackie Burroughs, Colin Fox, and Frank Moore. (91 minutes, 1989)

Stage Door: A theatrical boarding home is the setting for this remarkable film, from an Edna Ferber and George S. Kaufman play. The dynamite cast contains Hepburn as an opulent gal trying to be successful on her own, Menjou as proposing creator, Leeds as allergic actress, and a few future stars such as Lucille Ball, Ann Miller, and Eve Arden. Cast includes Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Adolphe Menjou, Andrea Leeds, Gai Patrick, Constance Collier, Lucille Ball, Eve Arden, Ann Miller, Ralph Forbes, Franklin Pangborn, and Jack Carson. Lost Command: This film is a tight, well-made tale of French-Algerian guerrilla warfare in North Africa, with Quinn as the peasant who has risen to a position of request. Fine global cast, excellent direction, and some top notch action roles mix extremely well. Cast includes Anthony Quinn, Alain Delon, George Segal, Michele Morgan, Maurice Ronet, Claudia Cardinale, Gregoire Asian, and Jean Servais. (130 minutes, 1984)
