Deep Impact: With a comet on a collision course for Earth. A decision is made to send a space ship out to intercept the comet, and “seed” it with nuclear bombs. The explosion splits the comet in two, with the smaller part still heading toward Earth. With a devastating impact looming, it is learned that 1 million Americans will be chosen by lottery to go underground into a network of caves built to survive the impact, and the following sequence of disasters.

The Delinquents: Intriguingly terrible exploitation drama in regards to a fine boy who becomes tied up in a street gang since lady friend is too young to go steady. Cast includes Tom Laughlin, Peter Miller, Richard Bakalyan, Rosemary Howard, and Helene Hawley. (75 minutes, 1957)

Spellbound: Riveting story of psychiatrist Bergman trying to expose Poke’s hang-ups; Dali fantasy patterns, industrious and Oscar winning Miklos Rozsa helps Hitchcock build another brilliant film. An experimental nerve gas that paralyzes people from the waist down has been stolen, and Rentadick, Inc. is employed to track down the perpetrators. Cast includes Jim Clark, James Booth, Julie Ege, Ronald Fraser, Donald Sinden, Michael Bentine, Richard Briers, and Spike Milligan. (94 minutes, 1972)

Rocky 5: Rocky Balboa is back at it in the 5th installation of this never ending series of fight films following the rags to riches hero’s entire career. The Air I Breathe: Four overlapping, connect the dots story lines, based on a Chinese proverb and titled “Cheerfulness,” “Delight,” “Grief,” and “Love,” make up this mess of a film. Starts out promisingly, as a disgruntled office android Whitaker unintentionally figures out that a horse race has been fixed, then it inexplicably shits into a cartoon like train wreck. Cast includes Kevin Bacon, Julie Delpy, Brendan Fraser, Andy Garcia, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Clark Gregg, Emile Hirsch, Woodland Whitaker, Kelly Hu, Evan Parke, Taylor Nichols, Winner Rivers, and Jon Bernthal.
